Ajith Nair, M.D., is an associate professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. He is a cardiologist with a specialized focus on heart failure, cardiomyopathies, cardiac transplantation, mechanical circulatory support and pulmonary arterial hypertension. He is the director of the Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center Heart Failure Clinic, assistant program director for the Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship Program and director of the Pulmonary Hypertension Program.
He is dedicated to the education of his peers, fellows and residents, and he has contributed academically to the field of advanced heart failure. He has served as a site principal investigator and a steering committee member for multicenter clinical trials. Dr. Nair has been an educator in the Baylor College of Medicine School of Medicine, and he is part of The Texas Heart Institute professional staff. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field of cardiology and serves on the review boards of several high-impact cardiology journals.
