Baylor supporters gather and connect with faculty over shared vision

On Thursday, June 5, Baylor College of Medicine’s Jaworski Society, a philanthropic group whose members have included Baylor in their gift and estate plans, came together during a luncheon for warm conversations, laughter and a renewed sense of connection. Members gathered to reflect on their shared journey and look ahead to the future alongside fellow supporters and Baylor faculty leaders.

Attendees enjoyed engaging discussions and the opportunity to hear directly from Hashem B. El-Serag,  M.D., M.P.H., chair and professor, Department of Medicine, and vice president of the Learning Health System initiative; Benjamin J. Frankfort, M.D., Ph.D., professor in the departments of Ophthalmology and Neuroscience, and the Clifton R. McMichael Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology; Brendan Lee, M.D., Ph.D., professor and chair of Molecular and Human Genetics, and Robert and Janice McNair Endowed Chair in Molecular and Human Genetics; James T. McDeavitt, M.D., executive vice president and dean of Clinical Affairs; and Joseph G. Rogers, M.D., director of The Texas Heart Institute at Baylor College of Medicine and the Willerson-O’Quinn Endowed Chair. Their insights reminded everyone of our collective role in advancing Baylor’s vision of creating tomorrow’s medicine today.

The Jaworski Society is a community of dedicated supporters who share a commitment to advancing Baylor’s mission through planned giving and brings members together to stay connected with Baylor’s leadership, faculty and groundbreaking work in healthcare, research and education.
