Supporting our students during finals
On May 14, 2025, nearly 300 Baylor College of Medicine students took a well-earned break from the stress of finals to attend this year’s Food for Finals—a lively, fiesta-themed celebration featuring lunch from Tacodeli. Hosted in collaboration with The Partnership Council, the event transformed a busy exam week into a moment of connection and community.
With music playing and the scent of tacos in the air, students gathered to recharge, reconnect with classmates and enjoy the festive atmosphere. Beyond the food and fun, this year’s event included a special opportunity to leave a lasting mark—literally. Students were invited to sign a construction beam that will be placed in the new Lillie and Roy Cullen Tower, slated to open in 2026.
The beam signing was more than symbolic—it gave students the chance to become part of Baylor’s history while looking forward to the future of health sciences education. It was a perfect reflection of the spirit of the day: a mix of celebration, tradition and progress.
With its blend of great food, meaningful moments, and a strong sense of community, Food for Finals was a resounding success—and we’re already excited for our next event!
