Give BIG for the next generation
Last year, Baylor College of Medicine launched its first-ever Give BIG Day and alumni showed up in a big way.
During the inaugural giving day, nearly 600 donors came together to raise more than $450,000 for Baylor. Over 100 alumni were among them, giving back to the institution that helped shape their careers and supporting the people, programs and priorities that will shape Baylor’s future.
Alumni supported scholarships and education, the GRAB (Grocery Resource at Baylor), College priorities and more. Many chose to give directly to the departments where they trained, investing in the programs that helped prepare them for their own careers while helping create new opportunities for those who will follow in their footsteps.
On Sept. 15, the growing annual tradition, Give BIG Day, returns with even more ways to make an impact. New areas of support have been added across the College, including Student Support Funds that give alumni an opportunity to directly support today’s Baylor students. Whether helping a student continue their education, advancing research and patient care or strengthening the programs that make Baylor a leader in academic medicine, every gift helps move Baylor forward.
New this year: when making your Give BIG Day gift, select Alumni under affiliation and add your class year. The top 10 alumni classes by number of donors will be featured on the Give BIG Day Leaderboard throughout the day.
Baylor alumni carry the knowledge, experiences and connections they gained here into communities around the world. Give BIG Day is an opportunity to extend that legacy—to invest in Baylor today and help ensure the students and trainees who come next have the same opportunity to learn, grow and build careers that make a difference.
