Jacques E. Zaneveld, Ph.D. ’15 began his career at Baylor College of Medicine, where he focused on discovering the genetic causes of congenital eye defects through the bioinformatic analysis of human genome sequencing data. After completing his Ph.D., Dr. Zaneveld co-founded Lazarus 3D, a startup focused on pre-surgical planning, where he helped develop Pre-Sure technology, the first FDA-cleared technology that allows surgeons to physically rehearse complex soft-tissue surgeries. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role in providing personal protective equipment to the Texas Medical Center, helping to protect healthcare workers and reduce infection rates.
