Celebrating our residents and fellows
On February 27, Baylor College of Medicine proudly celebrated Resident Appreciation Day, honoring the dedication and impact of residents and fellows across its clinical training sites, including Ben Taub Hospital, Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Throughout the day, the Office of Alumni Affairs joined the GME Resident and Fellow Council (GMERC) and hospital partners to connect with trainees and express gratitude for their unwavering commitment to patient care. Residents and fellows stopped by celebration sites to enjoy refreshments, connect with colleagues and receive Baylor Alumni swag, including bucket hats, mugs and lanyards.
A highlight of the day was the opportunity for residents and fellows to share words of encouragement and affirmation for fourth-year medical students ahead of Match Day. These heartfelt messages will help inspire the next generation of physicians as they prepare for this milestone moment in their careers.
Resident Appreciation Day serves as a meaningful reminder of the vital role trainees play in advancing Baylor’s mission and shaping the future of medicine. Their dedication not only strengthens patient care today, it helps shape the future of medicine for generations to come.
